25 Days of Holiday Music!

For probably the first time in over a year, I got dressed up, including hair, makeup and a dress! That was me on the night of RAPID‘s first birthday party. It was a virtual party and a lot fun. I was happy that I could still fit in that dress, although I would not have been comfortable at a real in-person party because I don’t think I could have sat down! LOL. #quarantine1000. Anyway, it was fun and a huge success! Thank you to anyone and everyone who donated, we raised over $9,000 and we’re really looking forward to 2021!

Let’s see, the next week was Thanksgiving and I decided to make it impossible to wear that dress in the near future because I ate about 400 pounds of carbs! The pumpkin bread was fun to make and the only festive part of the day:

We also had a couple of family zoom meetings and they always make me laugh. Uncle Daniel (click to see us in the kitchen together!), it was great to see you in your apron and it’s hilarious that Kai and Kaz just stare at us and rarely speak. #zoomisawkward

I forgot to take a picture of the 100 bowls of tots I ate, but I did post one to my Instagram stories (@the_marni):

I always had tots with my very good friends, Kristy and Steve, at happy hour, but it’s been a long time since we’ve met up. Thanks COVID. Still missing you Steve and Kristy!

All the carbs were absolutely delicious, but I was in a carb-coma for a good three days after that. It’s time for me to get my sh*t together. I feel like I’ve been saying that for 20 years 8 months.

The other night, J and I went for a walk and stopped by a store to look around. I found this:

My life. Every day.

Speaking of every day, I came up with this horrible incredible idea of #25daysofholidaymusic from December 1st through December 25th. What that means is that I will post a video of me playing a holiday piece on the harp every day for 25 days in a row. Today is day 6. I know, I’m already regretting it.

If you want to torture yourself or your loved ones, you can watch them on my Facebook and Instagram stories. I have also saved them in my Highlights on Instagram. My Instagram username is @the_marni. I have also posted and save some outtakes that are basically me just f*cking up the piece and swearing about it so that’s fun, holiday magic too! Sometimes I use crazy Instagram filters that make me look 20 years younger and kind of like a psycho.

That’s the update from here. Hope you and yours are well and please #wearaf*ckingmask.
