I left Costa Rica yesterday and I’m still on my way back home (my flights were really horrible both ways), but all of it was worth it. My surf trip was more fun than I could ever have imagined. I have so many pictures to share, but this post will be short, just to share some photos of the peeps that
were tortured by my presence blessed to be around me all week. Because there were only three of us, we really got a chance to know each other and that was pretty cool.
First up, the owner/surf instructor/party planner, Adilia! She is so awesome, a great surf instructor, patient, so kind and I just love her.
She did such a good job organizing everything for us and she’s really developed an incredible retreat in Nosara that allows for TONS of surfing, yoga, massage, nature walks, turtle viewing, shopping, dinners out, beautiful meals at home, and even rest. Every day I was shocked with how much we did…and I was exhausted (in the best way) every night. Also, I learned to surf! What-the-what?! I know.
Next up, the surfing pro, Jing! Jing bought a surf board at Costco when she turned 40 and she decided that she was going to learn to surf. She’s now 55 and looks like a teenager on the waves (I’m so jealous!).
Jing’s been to other surf camps in Costa Rica, but it was her first time at Surf Bikini Retreat so it was really fun and new for both of us. We learned/practiced “turtle rolls” in the swimming pool before paddling out past the break in the ocean. FYI, it’s waaaaaay easier to turtle roll when there are no waves. 🙂
Oh and having short hair while traveling is pretty much the best thing ever. I spent about zero time doing my hair, didn’t have to bring a flatiron, and oh my gosh, it was so nice.
So those are my new friends! I have so many more photos of us to share and I plan to get a few more posts up this week.
