Models and Birthdays!

Last Sunday, Kennedy, Kai and Kaz got to be models! I volunteer for the Portland Film Festival and the Festival needed kids to model the merchandise for this year’s festival. We thought Kennedy, Kai and Kaz would be perfect…and they were!

Before the photo shoot, my sister dropped Kennedy off at my house pretty early in the morning. I talked a lot to her about modeling and what poses she should do and then we decided to spend some time perfecting our coloring.

After a few episodes of Nailed It! and finishing our coloring pages, we headed downtown for the shoot. Kennedy and I showed up before Kai and Kaz, but Kennedy was too shy to do any modeling with the “big kids” so we waited. And once Kai and Kaz showed up, they were all ready to model!

All the models were really great and I love this selfie that one of them took:

Looks like all the selfies I’ve made them take over the years has been great practice! The kids had such a good time and at the end of the shoot, I had them show us some of their special poses. It was brilliant!

And I love this one of Kai trying to do Ken’s pose:

Their faces! So damn cute. Obviously, they did a great job and we only had to pay them in snacks! #bestmodelsever

Also last week, there were a couple of super important birthdays in my family. A big HAPPY BIRTHDAY shout-out to my dad who refuses to celebrate birthdays now:

And another HAPPY BIRTHDAY to my brother, Jeff!

Happy Saturday to all of you! I hope you’re having a great summer weekend.
