I got back from Seattle on Sunday and, as always, had a really great time! I was visiting my friend from college, Joy, and she had made the best plans for us. Seriously, the best.
Friday started out by dropping the kids off at camp! Woohoo! Then we went to a spa to use their hot tub, steam room, cool plunge pool, and dry sauna. We were there for a couple of hours and it was so relaxing. And quiet. After that, we went to get manicures and pedicures. I know, it was such a stressful morning.
That night, we went to see The Lion King and I only cried for about the first 20 minutes. I really can’t handle animals dying…not even fake animals apparently. Of course, one of the kids wanted to sit next to me during the movie and he didn’t cry at all. He probably came closest to crying before the movie when I made him take a picture with me.
That’s Ryan and that’s the only face he would make for the camera. Dang kids.
On Saturday, we had big plans of shopping the anniversary sale at Nordstrom, going to a housewarming party, and then going to see Ali Wong! Again, a very stressful day.
The housewarming was nice (I love looking at houses) and it was a beautiful day!
I also managed to get a picture with Joy’s other kid, Mia. She was much more enthusiastic about the selfie!
The kids used to look like this. Whoa. And don’t worry, Rocky is still alive
There were four of us at the housewarming that were going to see Ali Wong, so we left the party together and went to dinner.
That’s me, Allison, Kortne, and Joy. I’ve known Joy since college and I’ve known Allison and Kortne for more than five years now and I see them almost every time I visit Joy. They’re a great group of girls and we had a great time that night.
Ali Wong and her opener were f*cking hilarious, btw. See her if you have the chance. We went to the 10 pm showing and I stayed awake(!!!) and laughed so hard! We didn’t get home until midnight…that hasn’t happened in years.
