First, I wanted to say thank you to all of you who have sent comments and liked my posts. I really appreciate it and I’m happy so many of you are excited that I’m blogging again. I’m excited too!
I’ve gotten a lot of comments about my new, shorter hair. Thanks! You all know that I love to switch it up with my hair, from blonde to black, adding colored extensions, growing it out and then cutting it off. Well, this time, it was more of a happy accident.
I’m the first to admit that I have a problem with bleaching the f*ck out of my hair. Blonde is never blonde enough. I start with highlights and pretty soon I want an all-over bleach bath. It’s bad and so hard on my hair. For a while I was getting my hair done at my sister’s house, which was super fun…mostly because I got to hang out with Kennedy!
See how light my hair is? OMG, I over-processed the hell out of it. And half it broke off. The bottom half of about half of my hair. I basically had a mullet. Thanksgiving was the following week and I had to curl it so that it looked fuller, but you can see that I barely have any hair at the ends.
I tried to poof up my hair so it wasn’t so bad, but I basically had about four long hairs and 4,000,000 short hairs. It looked a lot like a straw mullet. And I didn’t want to wash it because more hair would fall out. So I cut it all off.
There are still “layers” that I’m trying to grow out. Seriously, some hair broke off and it was only two inches long. I’m lucky I have any hair at all and that I actually love it. I’m surprised how much easier it is to maintain because I don’t have to style my hair as often and it stays looking pretty much the same for days! I’m not sure I’ll ever go back to long hair.
Kennedy can be the one with the long hair now.
But her natural hair is pretty f*cking awesome too.
