When we were in Palm Springs, we did a little shopping. We always take a few hours to browse around when we’re there, but I rarely buy anything. That was until we went to a candy shop that had a ton of old school candy that I’d never seen before George ate when he was a kid. The walls of the shop were lined with metal signs and I fell in love with one:
It just makes me smile…because it’s so true. And now it’s hanging in my office. I guess it’s my kind of motivational poster. So inspiring. I should probably turn it into a necklace so people stop bothering me with their stupid questions/stories/lives.
Then last night, Kennedy came over to visit for a little while. She is just killing me lately. I mean, look at her dang face!
She’s wearing my earrings in that picture and she thought she was pretty fancy. And then she had to show me her new skill:
It’s probably good that she’s starting gymnastics soon. I call her my little baby and she insists that she’s a big girl. I asked her when she became a big girl…she said when she turned 3. Okay.
I’m going to spend the rest of the day (and the next 6 days) painting our guest room. It’s the last big room I have left to paint and I can’t wait to be done. Just fyi, painting an entire house white takes quite some time and about a billion coats of paint. Or maybe I’m just a horrible painter. I’m definitely a better pizza delivery driver.
Hope you all have a great weekend!
Kennedy is adorable! P.S. Happy painting, hee, hee.
