You can all thank my Uncle Daniel for these throwback Thursday pictures!
OMFG, I need that cake…now.
When we visited him last year, he gave me a bunch of negatives to get developed. After carrying them around in my purse for over a year, I finally got them developed (yes, you can still develop film!).
I think the photos were taken in 1992. My brother was 15, I was 13 and my sister was 11. I’m not 100% sure on that, though. Oh and it must have been sometime in December (our Christmas tree was in some of the pictures).
I don’t know why we were so dressed up and I don’t know wtf was going on with my hair or my face or my shirt.
I’m sure my sister loved posing with me next to the harp. Ha ha, Em!! Also, you should probably know that we didn’t really like getting dressed up. And my sister’s skirt itched a lot. She came up with her own solution for the itchiness:
I don’t know why I felt it was necessary to show my slip. I’m an idiot. I think Em’s wearing pajama bottoms underneath her skirt. Typical Emily style. Classy.
Happy Throwback Thursday!
Hi kiddo, Thanks for the fun throwback pics. I think you were all dressed up to attend a swank Christmas party which was eventually cancelled due to snow. There was a dust-up and tears all morning over Emily having to wear that scratchy wool skirt. When Candi and I returned that afternoon after you kids had dressed, (your mom was out) we were the ones with the tears of laughter when Emily smugly surprised us by lifting her skirt! Later, even your mom thought it was a clever solution to an itchy problem. Definitely one of my favorite Christmas Kodak moments, candy cane leggings! Now about that cake….. Keep well you two. Cheers! Uncle Daniel
Thanks for the background Uncle Daniel!! I will send you a copy of all the pics…there are even a couple of Brett and Melissa!
I totally remember this. I do understand Em’s feeling about itchy skirt. I don’t like wool (unless it is cashmere) touching my skin! You three were so much fun. xoxo Pearl/Candicoe
Lol. The real question is do you still wear slips?
Ha!!! And no I don’t.
