Flowers, Food, Creatures and Patios

So I guess quitting my 2nd job hasn’t led to more blogging.  At least not yet.  I’ve just found so many other things to do now that I have some free time…like watch tv, take naps and eat.  So.Much.Fun.

Anyway, I hope you all had a great Mother’s Day!

We had a small-ish get together with pretty flowers

I can’t believe I actually prepared something healthy!  I didn’t take any pictures of the family, but here’s a picture of G and Kennedy from last week.

Dumb G even changed his shirt so their outfits would match!  So cute.

And I’m sure you’re wondering what Bing got me for Mother’s Day, right?

Yep, he’s back in the cone of shame!  We went to the vet early Saturday morning because he had another gash on his head.  The vet told me that Bing is probably the cat causing the fights…what a f*cker.  G and I are now seriously considering keeping Bing inside permanently.  I’m not sure Bing’s going to be very happy about this idea.

We also started doing some major work on the backyard and I’m so excited for summer!  The backyard was basically a disaster area when we bought our house two years ago and we knew it would take a lot of work and a sh*tload of money to get it in shape.  We started with this little piece of equipment:

We added a concrete patio out the backdoor and steps to a lower patio.  This is the only “after” picture we have so far:

FB_IMG_1431403420778Apparently it’s cat-approved!  Hilarious.  We still have so much work to do, but it’s a million times better already.  Time to plan a BBQ!
