We’ve been working so hard on the inside of our house that we’ve been neglecting the already-neglected outside of it. Our yard is going to be a huge project…and will probably take years to finish.
But today, G mowed the grass for the first time!!
It looks so much better and he’s super happy:
That side of the front lawn is pretty filled in, but the other half, the part closer to the driveway and front door is mostly dirt with some new grass poking through.
We aren’t really sure why there’s a huge mound of dirt/bark right there, but we’re just going to go with it until we figure out how we want to landscape.
The backyard is where we need some serious Yard Crashers help.
It’s big, sloping and parts are un-fenced. We are planning on grinding down the stumps in the next few months, but probably won’t do anything major for at least a year.
Holy hell, it’s expensive to buy a house.
haha, grinding down the stumps. Hi, I’m 12.
Love.it.
Been reading for a while, never commented (sorry!)..but I find your sense of humor very similar to mine so obviously, you’re hilarious. Anyways, good luck with the yard, lookin’ good!
Just had a flash back from something I saw on Holmes on Homes. Next time a heavy rain comes and lasts a few days (meaning the ground gets saturated and water starts to pool and stream) check to see if the dirt mound is keep water off the walk way. If there are grading issues this could explain the mound.
Either that or there’s a dead body in there.
