While I’m feeling a bit lazy this weekend, I have accomplished a few tasks. First, I made my own weed killer! I found this recipe on Pinterest and thought I should try it out because G loves to kill weeds.
You only need 3 ingredients:
G bought a fancy bottle to store the killer in:
I used about 56 ounces of apple cider vinegar, 3/4 cup of salt and 2 squeezes of Dawn liquid soap. I mixed it all together in a pitcher and then poured it into the spray bottle. G was pretty excited!
He sprayed it all over the place and when we checked the weeds about an hour and a half later, they were already dying! Mission accomplished.
After making that magical creation, I decided to tackle all the plastic bags in our house. We store them under the kitchen sink and they were basically exploding out of the cabinet. Here’s the huge pile:
We rarely use the bags so I don’t know why we keep so many of them. Anyway, when I was on the weed killer website, I saw a cool idea for storing plastic bags! All you do is fold them into triangles.
That is a folded plastic bag! I folded 15 bags into triangles:
Here’s the comparison between 15 folded bags and 15 unfolded bags:
Pretty amazing, right?
I decided we only need to keep 15 on hand (I don’t know why I picked 15) and we will recycle all the other bags. I put the 15 in a small container we can store under the sink:
I really love organizing sh*t.
That weed killer is amazing! I’ll definitely have to try it! I love your blog!
Thank you!!!
Love the plastic bag idea!!
