Just a quick update to say that WE FINISHED THE RACE! While Kirsten and I almost died in that half, it was incredible to see how well Kirsten’s husband, Mike, did in the marathon.
I’ll do a complete recap later, but let’s just say that Mike PR’d with a 2:48:42 time and finished in the top 10! I guess it was good idea for him not to go to Mexican food with us the night before and get a good night’s sleep. Hmm.
But don’t worry, we ate about 12 tons of pizza after the race, which was incredible.
Did I share? Hell no!
There’s nothing I love more than “re-fueling”. Speaking of, I better start saving “re-fueling” money for the Portland Marathon. That is going to be scary…and expensive.
Go girl!! Great job! 🙂
Great job finishing! Where were you in Seattle for the pizza? It looks amazing, I need to go!
We went to Talaricos in West Seattle and it was soooo good! You must try it out.
Great job! I am thinking of doing Portland….but it is really expensive but looks like lots of swag which we all know is the most important part.
Swag is really the only reason I do races, just wait until you see the swag we picked up in Seattle.
Proud of you! The race and all you and George scored at the Expo!
Congrats to you and Kirsten and Mike – you’re all rock stars! And now I’m hungry for pizza!
