In February, we said goodbye to my good friend and coworker, Lea.
She was deported moved to Guam to be a big time attorney. And on Wednesday we said goodbye to Kristy. She’s moving to Alaska to live in an igloo.
As is tradition now, we met up for happy hour after work.
We ate about a billion tater tots and gave Kristy a couple of gifts.
Steve brought an amazing gift and even wrapped it really nicely.
I never thought to use yellow notebook paper for wrapping…maybe Steve should start a crafting blog?
But, OMG, the gift was good.
Umm, I’m pretty sure that title is inappropriate. The book was published in 1964 and it’s about 100 pages long. Some serious writing, I’m sure.
I think I’d rather read Fanny though.
Then she opened my gift. I enclosed a nice card, as always.
Actually, I don’t believe in buying cards. Mostly because I’ll never find good cards like Lea does. Okay, so back to my great gift.
I figure that if she has a picture of me on her desk her new coworkers won’t think she’s a complete loser. Wishful thinking, I’m sure.
So now that these b*tches have both ditched me for new jobs I think it’s only fair that I erase them from my life.
Wow, that picture is waaaaay more attractive now!!
Peace out, b*tches!
Totally unrelated, I just spent the last 2 nights watching the season of Girls on HBO, and one of the girls is your total doppleganger…marnie!
I haven’t seen the show, but I’ve heard good things. Btw, I’ll give you one guess to guess what my real name is.
If it’s Marnie, I would take it as a sign that G isn’t the only one in the fam cut out for show biz!
Marni…no e. The way it’s supposed to be spelled. And I really need to watch that show now…maybe tomorrow!
That last picture is the best picture you’ve ever taken of me. I need to set it as my FB profile!
Thanks for the g8 idea! I’m starting a new job soon so I’ll make sure to print out that picture of you and frame it. It will look even more great all grainy from the printer. I’m destined for greatness at my new job with that on my desk.
Excellent idea…everyone should have a picture of me at their desk!
