I can’t believe it, but one year ago I started this little blog. After publishing 354 posts (this is 355) I thought I’d share some of the fun things I’ve learned along the way.
First, I never thought I’d post a picture of myself online that looked like this:
Or that I’d admit that G and I eat entire cakes:
But I think I learned the most about my wonderful readers. First, I’m a little concerned that you might like G more than I do…maybe I’ll hold an auction for him during my second year of blogging. I’m also a little concerned that some of you have found my blog by searching some interesting topics on the internet.
I’m not surprised by these:
- mean girls christmas card
- trophy wife naked
- never washed hair
- desserts for four people
- leave marriage for twenty years to become trophy wife
What surprises me almost daily, though, is seeing that people find CTW by entering different variations of this:
BLACK PEOPLE EATING FRIED CHICKEN or
BLACK MAN EATING WATERMELON
I am not joking. I went through my stats and I’ve had over 550 views that came from people entering those search terms (or similar ones) into search engines. I only counted searches regarding black people and fried chicken or watermelon. There were multiple searches for black people eating cake or just plain eating as well. WTF?!
I only did one post where G ate fried chicken and watermelon.
I had no idea that people searched those terms (and would click on a blog link) almost every day. Wow, just wow.
I also discovered (after doing a guest post) that people think I’m inappropriate and/or offensive. For the record, I’ve also been told I have no class or decency…in real life, not in the blog world. I actual love stuff like that, thank you.
Honestly, I didn’t think I would last this long in the blogging world or that I would enjoy it as much as I do. So thank you, loyal readers, for taking the time to read and comment. I really do appreciate it, even if you found me by searching for “black man eating watermelon pic”…I hope you found what you were looking for.
