I’m going to visit my former bosses today! I loved working for these guys, but I didn’t really like practicing family law. So I quit. I still try to see them every once in a while, but it’s been way too long since my last visit. In order to stay on their good sides, I decided it would be best to bring a treat in for the office…you know, just in case I need a reference.
Last night, I made No Bake Oreo Truffles (yet another recipe I found on Pinterest). This was a big mistake because (1) I love Oreos and (2) I have no self-control.
Anyway, I couldn’t resist making these because the recipe was too damn easy. You only need 3 ingredients.
Just throw a bunch of Oreos into a food processor (my new favorite kitchen accessory) and grind away.
I poured the ground up Oreos into a bowl, added 4 ounces of cream cheese and mixed it all together by hand. Then I rolled out some balls.
Does it bother anyone else that the ball on the left is totally out of line?
I put all the balls in the freezer for a few minutes while I melted the almond bark.
If you can’t find almond bark you can use candy melts or any similar chocolate coating. I found almond bark at Walmart and I know you can find candy melts at Jo-Ann Fabrics & Crafts and Michaels.
After I melted the chocolate, I coated the balls and set them on parchment paper.
I guess I could decorate them with more ground up Oreos, but I kind of like the simple and pretty all-white look.
Not surprisingly, G was ready to do a taste test.
These are so good!
G ate four truffles. I had one. I would have had more, but I’d already eaten a million Oreos for dinner. Note to self: don’t buy the family size box of Oreos ever again.
I love these and make them every year at Christmas time. If you like mint, try them with mint oreos. So good!!
Ooh, mint is such a good idea!
I just love you and G. Thanks for sharing. Can’t wait to try this on my family.
Holy yumminess! They look great!! And very easy!
They look delicious
Oh YUM! Those sound great!
When I saw the title of the post, I thought it was about you being a whore. I was really disappointed it was some dumb recipe instead.
I’m not that creative with post titles. I will most likely call my post about being a whore “I’m a whore”.
I just made these for St. Pat’s with the mint oreos and actually wasn’t thrilled with them. Maybe I need to try again!
I swear you are trying to make me fat.
Actually, my goal is to make everyone fat so that I will finally be considered skinny. A girl can hope.
Those truffles were so good, yet so bad for my diet!
I’d have to say, great looking balls!
