The plan was that we would be decorating cupcakes for Valentine’s Day.
We made pink, purple and white frosting. There was also some black frosting, but I’m a traditionalist and only used purple, pink and white.
Our decorations weren’t traditional V-day decorations, but it was still fun.
We were all very serious about decorating.
Jen did not want to show her face.
And Kate was pretty excited about her cupcake:
And some people thought black cupcakes would be cool.
Anyway, we had tons of fun decorating them and I ended up bringing 14 of those bad boys home to G…and he ate them all on Sunday. No joke.
And then it was time to watch a movie, eat pizza and look at Misty’s new masks! As I’ve written about before, Misty makes and sells masks (and is an amazing harpist too). You can look at her masks on Flickr and purchase them on Etsy.
She had some pretty amazing masks for me to look at this time.
(That is what happens when I try to take a picture of myself and listen to what Misty’s saying. Obviously, I’m not very good at multi-tasking.)
And while we were watching a movie, Misty painted this one:
But the best part was when she gave G and me these two masks!!!
And (of course) we tried them on and took pictures.
I don’t know what it is about masks, but seeing G in one cracks me up. And doesn’t his head look effing huge? And I’m pretty sure he has the mask on crooked. Weirdo.
Here’s a picture of me in my mask without scary G next to me.
Misty put Swarovski crystals on mine and I love it. Now, I just need to find a masquerade ball to attend and I’ll be set!
Cupcakes, pizza, a movie and a couple of masks. Such a good way to end my busy Saturday. Thanks Misty!!!
