First, thank you to everyone who’s already decided to join Megan G. and me on the Virtual Run for Sherry Arnold on February 11, 2012!!

I’m happy to report that there will be people of all fitness levels joining us including walkers, runners, joggers, strollers, men, women, girls, boys and dogs!  So if you were hesitant about joining, don’t be.  You might even see some of these wackos:

So here are the details:

We are meeting at 8:45 am at the Portland Fire and Rescue Station between SE Main and SE Madison, just off SE Water Avenue.  There are parking lots and street parking within 3 blocks of the station.  We’ll be running/jogging/walking at 9:00 am on the Vera Katz Eastbank Esplanade doing a loop over the Hawthorne Bridge and Steel Bridge…about a 5k.

If you’d like to join us, please let me know (by emailing or commenting) or just show up on the 11th at 8:45 am.

On Friday, I will send out an email with all these details (and any new stuff) to everyone who’s RSVP’d.  Megan G. has graciously offered to print out color bibs for everyone to wear so we will have those ready on Saturday morning!

And if you’re really ambitious, paint those nails!

This is the closest color I could find at Ulta to match the bibs…it’s “Brisk Blue” by Sally Hansen.  The good news, it was only $4.49!

Can’t wait to see you all there!

I do believe I’ll be joining you guys! I was planning on just walking around my neighborhood but I like the idea of representing with a group. I’m not a runner so I won’t *really* be with the group but I’m a pretty fast walker! I’ll have a 1 possibly 2 little dogs in tow as well. I usually shy away from these things due to…well, being shy. But I feel like this is too important to let that stand in the way.
