I know everyone’s already done blog posts about their goals for 2012, but I wanted to wait until after I finished the half-marathon before I wrote about mine…just in case I didn’t make it.
I thought it would be good to keep running and maybe set a mileage goal for the year. I initially thought about a 600 mile goal, but then I signed up for this:
Yes, I am an idiot. But when I finish that damn marathon, I’ll have crossed two things off my bucket list in 2012! And how cool is that? Pretty cool.
Okay, so back to my running goal. Because I’ll apparently be marathon training, I’m going to up my goal to 800 miles of exercise. That could be swimming, running, biking (<—I hate that), whatever. 800 miles. That’s a little more than 15 miles per week. I’m pretty sure I can do that, but I’ve never stuck with any sort of workout plan for a year. We’ll see how I do.
And hopefully I’ll look like this:
And then once I look like a supermodel, I’ll need a lot of money to buy new clothes (and new boobs). So that’s where my second goal comes in.
Money matters! G and I really starting focusing on our debts and budgeting last year and we managed to pay off a ton of debt. Unfortunately, we still have a ton left…let’s just say a few years of sh*tty jobs (for me) and some major medical expenses (for G) can add up to a lot of debt. We will continue to live like college students and hopefully pay off all our debts this year!!! Okay, well all of them except my student loans…I’ll probably die with those. In the meantime, we hope this will help us stay focused:
