Okay, I know I’ve been posting a lot about our nutria friends, but we witnessed a few incredible things yesterday.
First, the nutria are friends with Bing! I’d suspected this when Bing didn’t drag any dead nutria bodies home, but I didn’t really think they’d be friends.
Obviously, I was wrong. Bing loves to sit and watch them in our yard.
And the nutria don’t care!
After watching Bing out there for a while, we let Jack out to see what he’d do.
Well, he basically just walked up to the creatures. As you can see, Bing went over to say hi to Jack (and I assume to tell him that the nutria were feasting…again).
And then he went up to them and walked around.
They are not scared of him. He does not care about them, either… he just acts like it’s totally normal. I wonder how long these monsters have been hanging out.
Jack, Bing and the 2 nutria hung out in the yard for a while and then Jack came back inside. The next time I looked in the yard, I saw this:
G and I decided they must be siblings because they are all so small and they stay so close together. And then a few minutes later, Big Momma entered the yard:
Well, at least we think that’s their mom. She also enjoys our backyard very much.
So there you have it…cats, dogs and nutria can all be friends! And I’m pretty sure we live in a zoo now.
LOL
cheers
I still think that the nutria are just glorified rats! I need to find a big rat trap! Just kidding 🙂
I’ve never heard of nutria before but this post made me laugh, you can probably charge the neighborhood kids admission into your yard!
Can anyone say, “D-Con?”
