NOW I HAVE PROOF!
I’m so glad I finally got to see these creatures!! They aren’t scared of Jack, btw…I was letting him inside from the backyard when I saw the nutria enjoying our weeds grass. Maybe they are all friends too?
They are not as big as I thought they’d be and they aren’t that scared of me. Although, they didn’t like it when I talked to Jack and they kind of jump toward the fence. But 15 minutes later…they’re still feasting away.

They’re kinda cute! We have possums living under our shed and they come out and feast on our weeds too!
Good thing we never decided to grow real grass for Jack to poop on! Now the nutria can feast away on our weed yard!
Those are SO. CUTE. They look like a mixture between a guinea pig and a rat. adorable.

Nutria….sometimes referred to as water rats.
