Guess who ran 8 miles today? ME!
I’m so shocked, I thought it deserved a second post for the day. I planned on doing the run by running 10 minutes, then walking 1 and just repeating that for 8 miles. But once I got out there I felt pretty good so I just kept running.
I ended up walking for 2 minutes at minute 40 and again at 1h 8m. I completed the 8 miles in 1h 25m 43s, including the 4 minutes of walking. I’m really happy with the time, I guess it’s about a 10m 43s pace. Not bad considering I haven’t run outside in about 4 weeks.
I also got to try out my new Under Armour shirt!
I bought it at the Woodburn outlets when George decided to do a strip show for the customers. George has always been a big fan of UA, but this was the first time I’ve tried it. As it turns out, G might have actually been right about something. I really love this shirt because it’s long and it fits tight. Normally, I’m not a fan of tight clothing (my fat rolls don’t like to be constricted), but this totally works for running.
I was also concerned about my shoes, but my feet were fine the entire time. Win!
Now I’m off to figure out how many disasters I can create before G gets home from the gym. Wish me luck!
I love how much of an absolute dork you are. Those UA shirts are my fave. Thanks for reminding me that I need to go buy more.
Practice makes perfect.
Way to go! That is awesome. 8 miles is no joke:)
Good job!!! You are awesome. I haven’t ever tried UA, but I have heard good things about it.
Get it girl! Love the under armor shirt.
Great job on 8 miles – and on only 4 minutes of walking! Love the shirt!
Keep up the good work! I’ll stick to the elliptical myself though. I’m glad you finally decided to wear a little Under Armour with all that Adidas!
Awesome job! I totally FAILED on my 8 miler today (I only did 4…well, 3.96 if you want to get technical). But hey, at least I ran, right?
And your running every.damn.day thing has the wheels in my head turning. That might be a New Year’s “thang” for me (I hate the word resolution). I might have to try this. I’m gonna keep following you for inspiration! 🙂
