A Few Casualties

Nothing too sad, but there have been a few casualties around here lately.  The first casualty is with my beautiful craft project.

I’m pretty sure it’s melting…maybe you’re not supposed to put these outside.  Whatever.  I found this outside yesterday:

Oh, poor gum drop!  And can you see that liquid behind it?  That’s coming from the rest of the gum drops…they are dripping.

And another gum drop fell, but it’s still on the wreath.

I’m pretty sure it just wanted to be next to the other red one.  I’m not too bothered by my dripping gum drop wreath and I actually think it’s pretty funny.  Even dripping, it still looks nice.  I’m hoping it will have the strength to last a couple more weeks.

Be strong little wreath.

Now, there’s also been another casualty.

One of the hazards of having hair extensions is that they fall out (and sometimes don’t even blend into a dirty carpet).  It can be a bit scary.

Almost as scary as me without makeup, in glasses, with my hair pulled back and barely out of my pajamas.  At least my nails look good…that’s Essie’s “Very Structured” for those of you that are interested.

    Nails lookin Fly!

    R.I.P candy wreath.

  2. Cora says:

It’s the sugar in/on the gumdrops that attracts moisture, which makes them drip (salty things have this as well). I’m afraid it will not last that long outside. But at least you’ll have the nice pictures

  3. Megan My Day says:

As I scrolled down, I started getting a sick feeling in my stomach that you and George might start eating the gum drops…..phew I am relieved that didn’t happen!

  4. I love the color of your front door…really random, I know. Also, that wreath turned out really cool…hopefully it’ll make it until Christmas!

  5. Hubbie says:

It’s so sad to see our poor wreath dripping away! You’re beautiful without makeup!

  6. Emily says:

Your gum drop wreath is darling – love it, even if it is dripping!

  7. Melissa says:

My friend made a peppermint wreath for her front door, but peppermints don’t last long in the Florida outdoors. It only took a day to be ruined. She was devastated.

    So your gumdrops are champions!

  8. Dad says:

On those hair things……..can’t they be re-cycled? Like can’t you glue or staple them back in? You left a bunch here in LA, but Star didn’t like them.
