Punked Out

Now keep in mind that I’m probably the least “punk” person ever.  I’m serious.  I have no tattoos, no weird piercings (just one in each ear) and my daily uniform consists of cardigans and slacks.  I know, I’m pretty cool.  However, when I heard that I could put funky colors in my hair without having to dye it, I was totally in.

About a month ago, I put extensions in my hair (not for length, but for highlights).  I had normal blond and brown extensions put in so it was nothing crazy.  This time, I wanted to get something a little more unusual.  Bring on the purple!

I left the remaining blond and light brown pieces in and had my stylist put in about 10 extensions of purple (5 regular extensions cut in half).  I wanted to keep them thin so they would just peek through.

See you can just barely see the purple from the side.  I really love it, but I’m thinking I want to take the blond out and put in more purple.  Anyway, it only takes about 15 minutes to have the extensions put in (and $20)…not bad for a new look!

Okay, that’s enough of my “punk” hair.  Now it’s time for my radical (do people say that anymore?) nails.  Today I’m wearing Ulta’s “Moody Blues”.  And in honor of myself, I “created” some sweet gang signs.

That’s right, I’m still rockin’ it gang-banger style.

Keep the blonde too, it looks good all together like that and it helps the purple show better against your brown! Love it!

I love your new highlights…they make you even sexier!
