The Calm Before the Storm

In approximately 24 hours, G and I will be on a plane to Los Angeles.  We will spend a few days in the Valley and then we’ll head out on a cruise to Cabo.  We are supposed to drive to Portland right when I get off work at 5:30 pm.  George has the day off…and I have about 50 million things to do before we leave.  Because G was done working yesterday at 1:00 pm he spent the rest of the day doing this:

Oh and did I mention that the minute G brought his suitcase out, this creature started getting worried?

Poor little Jack! By this afternoon Jack will refuse to lie down and will insist on following us around the house to make sure he isn’t forgotten.

How much packing have I done?  Well, let’s just say that my suitcase is still in the garage. So right now is the calm before the storm.  I still have to pay all the bills, go to the bank, go to the library, drop the dog off, make sure the cat is taken care of (and trapped inside), have all of our itineraries…

OH MY BALLS, I NEED TO GET STARTED.

I’m so excited to go to Cabo San Lucas again & to see my 2 bff’s!

  2. Amy says:

You sound like me before a vacation. On another note it really pisses me off how neat their (their meaning our men) f’ing suitcases are. Mine always looks like a threw a bunch of shit in it and called it good.

  3. I’m a terrible planner when it comes to preparing before a trip. It’s almost like I need to feel the pressure, so I end up packing sometime after midnight and getting almost no sleep. You’d think I would have learned by now. Anyway, enjoy your trip! It sounds lovely.

    • That’s totally me. If I have an early morning flight, I will wake up at like 2 am to pack my stuff and get everything ready. It’s like the trip is not complete without me running around like a total psycho…and yelling at G about everything.
