Baking My Balls Off

G and I are going camping tomorrow.  I always try to do as much as possible before I leave so I can do minimal work while I’m camping (and so I have more time to talk about myself to everyone).  Tonight I made the dessert for tomorrow night and I will be making the dinner in the morning.

I decided to make S’mores Stuffed Brownies!  You can find the recipe here.  I’ve never made it before, but it looked pretty easy so I decided I could give it a try.  Here are the basic ingredients:

In only a few minutes I had the brownie mix prepared…

And half of it in the pan.  I made two batches of brownies, but I made them separately.  I learned a few tricks along the way too.  Here’s the way I did the graham crackers in each baking dish:

I think I got a more even layer of graham cracker in the second batch.  And apparently my foot insists on being in the picture, I apologize for that.  Next up, the chocolate:

Again, I think I got a more even layer of chocolate in the second batch.  The marshmallows were about the same for each batch, but I think I’d use small marshmallows next time.  We’ll see how they taste, though.

After assembling this, I poured the other half of the brownie batter over the top and it looked beautiful!!

And they were ready for the oven.

They are now baking and it smells like I’ve eaten 24 bars of chocolate.  Surprisingly, I haven’t…this time.  Now it’s time for me to watch Modern Family and rehydrate from doing all that hard work!

Those brownies look amazing, but I couldn’t get the recipe link to work. Have an awesome time on your camping trip! 🙂

You better f*cking save me one of those!

  4. Can I just say that I adore you? 🙂 I thought I was the only one able to eat 26 chocolate bars in a single sitting, but you…it warms the heart! Cheers!
