Okay, so about a year and half ago, I heard about this place where you could get books for free! That’s right, books.for.free. I just had to check this place out…and I got addicted. So last night G I headed to…
THE LIBRARY! I’m pretty sure I used to spend a billion $$ at Borders and Barnes and Noble, but I’ve stopped that horrible habit and now I go here! The coolest place ever. And did you know that the library has become high-tech? Well, it has. Just look at the drop slot:
It checks your book in right when you put it in the slot! Isn’t that cool? And you can place books on hold on-line too! I had three books waiting for me when I got there last night!
Very cool! The library sets the books you reserve aside so you can just walk in and pick them up. You can see my nail polish too…that’s Essie’s “California Coral” for those of you who care.
So after I grabbed my books off the shelf, I had to check them out (because I’m a good library patron). And you can even do that yourself!
Even I can check out my own books so I know it’s easy. And it kind of makes you feel smart. So go check out your local library, it’s a sweet deal and you get FREE STUFF!
Haha! The same thing happened to me recently. I was whining to my boyfriend about having no money to buy a book I wanted and he told me about ‘the library’. Totally changed my life!
Wowsers!!! I didn’t even know that you could read babe!
I love the library too! It is also a free place to take a kid. The library by my house has an area filled with toys, coloring pages, puzzles, etc. So I can sit on the couch and read and he gets to mess up somebody else’s space LOL
Like George, I didn’t know if you could read. The question was answered in the negative when I saw you posing with a Jen Lancaster book.
As I librarian at a public library, this post made my day! We don’t get to hear what people like about libraries very often. Thank you so much!
So hi tech
