One Last Georgia Post

All right, this is my last post about my trip to Georgia last weekend.  I had such a great time and might even be invited back again.  While I was there, I attended 2 baby showers for Tricia.  The first one was with a bunch of chicks my age and lasted over 8 hours!  It was a good time!

Most of the food was from PF Chang’s and it was fabulous!  We ate so much, I thought I was going to die…success.

We also had lettuce wraps and a ton of dessert.

Those bad boys are shot glasses with Key Lime Pie inside…I had 2.

Oh and there was some fruit and veggies too.

So pretty!

Tricia also opened a ton of presents and I finished her gift too!

Are you jealous?

The following day, we had baby shower #dos and it was here:

A cool house on the Chattahoochee.

Tricia wanted me to let you know that this is the clean part of the Chattahoochee…before it gets all contaminated in Atlanta.  And look at all the lawn on the property:

The inside was equally as impressive.

I loved that they had swinging furniture inside!  Very cool.  I also loved that there was a lot of food…and it was very festive.

Tricia went to college at the University of Georgia so they set up a table in the school’s honor.  They are very serious about school pride here.

And I was able to have my first taste of sweet Georgia tea!

I must say that I’m a fan!

There were also some pretty creative decorations around too.

That’s a tricycle!

And there was even a game!  I’m normally not a fan of shower games, but this was a guessing game.

Guess how many items are in the bottle?  I didn’t win and I didn’t even act like a poor sport.  The only reason I didn’t “act a fool” is because Tricia told me I had to behave.  She even told me I couldn’t swear.  Needless to say, my conversations were limited.

It was a great time and I can’t wait to go back…if I’m invited.

I love this post! I graduated from UGA too, so it’s awesome to see it on the blog of someone from the Pacific NW. I also want to say that I freaking love your blog. You crack me up with how you just seem to say what you are thinking. Keep them coming, please!

  2. Is that the beer goggles version of that picture??

I had such a great time!!! I am sorry that I took you from place to place and showed you off like a show-and-tell item, but you did a great job and all my friends keep asking when you are coming back!

We sure do take that UGA pride very seriously here and throughout the US. When we were in law school in LA I was a member of SoCalDawgs – the UGA alumni association in LA. We met on game days at 8:30am at a bar in Westwood to eat breakfast and watch the Dawgs! Good times!!!!

I think you did a great job in fitting in down here….you tried **REAL** BBQ, homemade strawberry cobbler, you laughed your way through an 8 hour baby shower, and did not curse one time at the Chattahoochee river shower!!! Then you attended a live radio show, a cake tasting, and a catering wedding reception tasting….Gosh, you just can’t beat it!!!

WHEN you come back I promise we’ll have a more relaxed schedule. Strike that. There won’t be a schedule. Just a great time!

Looking at this makes me want to get you pregnant; just so I can eat all of the great food!
