This is How I Fly

I am currently sitting in the Portland airport looking a bit like a homeless person.  Well, a homeless person with a suitcase and laptop.  I’m flying to Atlanta on a red-eye tonight to visit one of my very good friends, Tricia.  I haven’t seen her in over five years and she’s about to have her first child.  Here’s a horrible picture of us the last time we were together at the aquarium in Atlanta (sorry Tricia).

After working for most of the day, I drove to Portland to meet my mom so she could drive me to the airport.  Because I live in South Jesus, going to the airport takes a bit of coordinating.  This is what I looked like when I showed up at my mom’s.

No, my work doesn’t have a dress code, thanks for asking.  Shockingly, this is kind of dressed up for a casual “Friday” outfit (Thursday is my Friday).  Anyway, because I’m flying a red-eye, I really hope to sleep during the flight.  When I got to my mom’s I changed to be more comfortable on the plane (and warm).

Don’t I look good.  S-E-X-Y.  I also took out my contacts and washed my face too (and used moisturizer for my crows feet, of course).

Nice, right?  Whatever, I don’t care.  I’m scared of making friends anyway.

After my wardrobe change, mom and decided to go to my favorite restaurant for dinner!

Red Robin!  It was really good and now I’m 100% convinced I will look like I ate a pool full of salt when I get off the plane in the morning.  I’m truly sorry, Tricia.

I had a vegetarian quesadilla and about 2 baskets of fries.  Oh and I got water…I’m very proud of myself for the water.

If you’re worried about G’s food intake for the next few days, worry no more.  I got up early (at 4:00 am) and made him no-bake cookies!

I know, I’m so f*cking nice, right? Although, I did eat one two three before I went to work.

I figured it was a good breakfast because it has a ton of oatmeal in it.  You know how I like to eat healthy.  Oh and if you’re wondering, that is what my hair looks like after I’ve taken a shower and let it air dry for about an hour.  That’s also why my flat-iron is my best friend.

So now I will be siting in the airport for about 4 more hours until my flight boards and I will be knitting my balls off (because I procrastinated so much that my gift for Tricia’s baby is not complete).

Have a wonderful night.

& I hoep you have an awesome trip- Congrats to Tricia!!! 😀

    • Nope, sorry Holly, there isn’t a South Jesus that I know of. I just call any town in the middle of nowhere that (but I will change the direction depending on where’s it’s situated). I think it’s funny to say I live in South Jesus because that sounds really far away.
