We participated in many camping activities and some of them didn’t even involve food! (Don’t worry, I’ll do a food post later…we had some good eats and I even remembered to take pictures of them!!) But first, our non-food related activities.
G thought he pulled some muscle in his neck when he put the tent in the storage container on top of the car. So immediately when my sister got to the campsite, G stripped off his shirt and made her massage him.
Thankfully, Em is a licensed massage therapist. You have no idea how many times she’s saved me from having to touch G and rub him down. I owe her.
To repay her, I usually paint her toenails. This was another activity that took place at the campsite.
I think I’m almost ready to open my own nail salon. Em picked Essie’s “California Coral”…a good choice, Em, a good choice.
After all that hard labor, I needed a drink.
My preferred drink for the weekend was Shasta’s diet grapefruit. Pretty good, but it has no caffeine so that was a little brutal.
Another time-consuming activity was this:
Feeding the damn kids. I swear those things need to eat ALL THE TIME! They eat more often than G and me. Ridiculous.
On Saturday night, the camp hosted a movie night about the Coast Guard.
It was kind of hard to see the screen before it got dark out, but the movie was good and very informative. Although, I must say that I was hoping we were going to watch The Guardian with Ashton Kutcher and Kevin Costner. FYI, you will not see that movie at this “theater”.
Because I’m a big @sshole, I decided to take pictures during the movie.
Tim did not want to participate in photos during the movie so, of course, I had to take his.
At least my mom was excited. That’s right Tim, don’t make eye contact and I’ll go away.
The other couple who attended the movie were these two losers:
That’s right, the “white power” couple returned for another camping adventure. Also, we recently learned that they are working on producing more Aryan Nation members because Laura is now pregnant. Congrats, Laura and Hart!!
However, this almost makes me want to breed little mixed children to balance out all their procreating. But then I look at their daughter’s activity of choice…
and I really can’t imagine having one of those creatures myself.
That’s a classic photo of Tim thoroughly enjoying his movie experience with his family!
I am so glad you did a post on SR a while back because I have actually laughed out loud reading almost every single one of your posts since then! So glad I found your blog!
Thank you!! I’m pretty new to the blog world so I’m glad you’re enjoying it.
I so agree, I’m loving all of it!!
Hahah! Love that last picture (and description)…too cute!
I appreciate that your friend’s daughter is also trying to help G out with his nose. He needs to move in closer.
Or that could be a practice cheer for a Whitesnake concert and one finger just got stuck along the way.
Hahahaha Your posts are perfect mid work-day fuel!! The thought of having kids scares me a little… like there is an alien squirming around inside you. Supposedly it doesn’t feel like that but it creeps me out. For some reason I want a little bugger someday anyway! hahaha
Bahahaha! My kids pick their nose on purpose to gross me out.
